Search Any Site Using Google

Some sites either don't offer a search functionality, or if they do, it may not be that great at returning relevant results.

For example, if you do a number of searches related to scrapbooking, perhaps you'd like to do an occasional search on scrapbook.com for content. An easy way to add scrapbook.com to your custom search engines would be to create a Google site search URL string, which would look like this:

http://www.google.com/search?q=site:scrapbook.com

*Note: While it's not visible, there is a single space at the end of the string. This space is necessary, so be sure to include it when creating a custom search engine like this within FORCE.

For clarification of how this can be used, here are a several additional examples (each have a space included at the end of them, which you can't see, but which must be included):

  • http://www.google.com/search?q=site:nationalgeographic.com
  • http://www.google.com/search?q=site:adobe.com
  • http://www.google.com/search?q=site:hgtv.com
  • http://www.google.com/search?q=site:pets.yahoo.com
